Water Byelaws
We use many measures to maintain and protect your water quality, including Water Byelaws.
The Water Supply (Water Fittings) (Scotland) Byelaws 2014 apply to all plumbing systems, water fittings and appliances connected to the public water supply.
Created under Section 70 of the Water (Scotland) Act 1980, these byelaws help ensure the safety of the water supply and the prevention of contamination of the public water supply. They also help prevent waste, misuse and using too much water.
