We are carrying out a large-scale investment on Tiree to improve infrastructure and ensure residents continue to enjoy fresh, clean drinking water for years to come.

The work will commence from Wednesday, 14 August, and is expected to last approximately 10 weeks.

The work entails the instalment of numerous meters across Tiree to enhance network monitoring. This initiative aims to improve response times to burst water pipes and reduce potential interruption to the supplies of local residents.

We are committed to minimising disruption during the installation process. If water supplies are expected to be affected, advance notice will be provided via letters at least 48 hours prior.

Throughout the project, signage will be displayed across the island to alert drivers and pedestrians to the presence of construction workers in the area. There are no plans for road traffic management and therefore, no delays are anticipated.

A joint approach will be taken to deliver the work, involving both Scottish Water and our contractor, MacAuley Askernish Ltd.

We would like to thank local residents for their patience and understanding throughout.
