We have restored supplies in the Hallglen and Hillhead areas of Falkirk following a burst water main located yesterday. We have been tankering water into our mains through the night, and moving the tankers around the network this morning to maintain supplies throughout the area.  We also put a backfeed in place late yesterday evening.  These arrangements will continue through today (Sunday 18th August) as we undertake repairs to the burst water main.

Some customer may experience intermittent supply, low water pressure, or discoloration, whilst these alternative supply arrangement are in place.

We have set up a bottled water collection point for customers at Glenburn ELC, New Hallglen Rd, Hallglen, Falkirk FK1 2AF. Please follow directions at the location to keep vehicles and our workers safe.

Yesterday (Saturday 17th) we located a burst 9" water main just off the Kilbean Trail near Glen Burn, Falkirk, which serves customers in the Hallglen and the surrounding area of the town.

This burst affected around 2,200 properties, and customers may have experienced a loss of normal supply, low water pressure, or discoloured water as a result of the burst.

We have squads at the location of the burst to carry out repair.  This repair will be challenging given its location in a heavily wooded area of Kilbean Wood.
