Scottish Water is one of 10 partners involved in the Go Safe Scotland online safety initiative.

The national education resource www.gosafescotland.com has been developed in partnership with key organisations for children, teachers and parents to teach young people about the hazards they may face in everyday life, and encourage them to make safe choices.

It provides a variety of key safety messages, one of which is water safety.

Other partners involved in the initiative include Glasgow City Council, Fife council, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Police Scotland, Network Rail, Scotland Gas Networks, NHS and Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA)

We are also actively involved in promoting water safety in schools throughout the country. We encourage all teachers in Scotland to sign up to the free online Go Safe Scotland education resource, which is designed to enable teachers to provide water safety education linked to the Curriculum for Excellence.
