Saving Water in the Bathroom
Our Top Tips
Brushing Your Teeth
- Don’t leave the tap running while brushing your teeth; only turn it on to rinse or use a glass of water to rinse
Flushing the Toilet
- Flushing the toilet accounts for 30% of the average household water use; fit a water saving device on a large or old cistern
Take a Shower
- A bath uses three times more water than a shower; take a shower and save water, money and time
- Fit a low-flow shower head (non-electric only) to save even more water
- Beware of power-showers which use as much water as a bath
