Water for Scotland 

The 4th edition of "Water for Scotland" is available to download here.

The documents provide updated guidance for all standards and specifications required when designing new water or drainage infrastructure. All new designs received, from 1st January 2019 will be expected to align with these new design documents.

Access & Stand Off Distance 

Asset Policy Standard: This policy document details our requirements with regard to the distance between vestable water mains and buildings and structures. This distance is to provide protection to the water main from foundation or building loadings and allow safe access for future maintenance. 

Barrier Pipe Guidance: This guidance is to inform those constructing vestable water mains of our requirements regarding the use of barrier pipe systems.
