Repair work

The area is being securely fenced off

We are carrying out a repair on a burst on the rising sewer main between Renfrew and Shieldhall on King’s Inch Road.

Our teams were alerted to localised flooding outside one of the access pits currently being used to reline and upgrade the pipe.

The burst is further downstream on the as-yet unlined section of sewer.

Materials and machinery are being mobilised to be taken to site to begin work on the repair as quickly as possible.

The area is being securely fenced off and we will contact customers living nearby to make sure they are aware of what is happening.

It is likely that we will need to close a single lane of King's Inch Road in order to carry this repair out safely and we will issue a further update once this is confirmed.

Everything is being done to carry the repair out as quickly and safely as possible and we would like to thank all affected for their patience and understanding.
