Reducing the risk of surface water flooding

Work is expected to last approximately six weeks

Work to help reduce the risk of surface water flooding in Cloverfield Park is now underway.

Improvements are being made to two existing underground surface water tanks, to reduce the risk of surface water flooding in the residential area.

The work began on Monday, 11 August and is expected to take approximately six weeks.

We recognise the disruption and distress that flooding causes – and also the frustration that customers feel when there is not an immediate solution.

We also recognise the time it has taken for this investment to be delivered, but we are pleased to have now identified this solution for the underground tanks which will help to address surface flooding issues in the area and provide best value for customers for years to come.

We would like to thank residents at Cloverfield Park for their patience and understanding while we have worked on identifying and implementing this investment. We ask that customers contact us directly with any questions about this work.

There is no road closure scheduled during the work programme but there will be an increase in construction traffic for the duration of the works while materials are brought to site. Due to limited space, tankers and vehicles will be parked at the side of the road to allow materials to be brought to site.

Clancy will be carrying out this work on our behalf. They will do all they can to keep disruption to a minimum.
