Project Overview

We are carrying out emergency repairs on a collapsed sewer on Trinity Road in Edinburgh.

In order for this work to be carried out safely, a road closure has been put in place at Trinity Road between Primrose Bank Road and Lennox Row, with a traffic diversion route available via Lomond Road.

Over pumping has been put in place to ensure the community's waste water service remain unaffected during this time, while the sewer repair work was escalated to our project delivery team based on the complexities involved in this repair.  The project team are currently on site with work underway to repair the damaged sewer.

Latest Project Update

As mentioned above, our project delivery team are currently on site working to repair the damaged section of sewer at Trinity Road.

Following our operatives initial investigations, they have estimated that the repair work will take a minimum of 4 weeks from the 12th August, with the road closure in place for the full duration of the project. Please note - this timescale is subject to change based on the complexities of this job.

We have issued the below letter to keep the community informed of our work, while our team on site will continue to liaise directly with local residents to ensure impact of the project is minimised where possible.

Scottish Water thanks the community for their patience and understanding during this time.
