A large sinkhole has opened up close to our pumping station on the Southside Estate in Kinloss. The area has been fenced to for safety.
A large sinkhole has opened up close to our pumping station on the Southside Estate in Kinloss caused by a collapse on one of the private sewers further upstream.
Given it would not be practical to complete repairs to the pumping station without repairing the damaged private pipe we intend to complete both simultaneously.
We are currently arranging for equipment to be set up on site to allow the waste water flows to be pumped around the damaged section, maintaining a service and protecting the environment.
The sewer is approximately five metres underground so will require an extensive excavation to expose and repair and we are liaising with all relevant agencies to get the necessary permissions in place and the work underway.
