A planning application is being submitted in support of this investment in the waste water network
We have identified the need to decommission the existing Torwood Wastewater Treatment Works (WWTW) and replace it with the new Torwood Wastewater Pumping Station (WWPS) in order to manage growth in the area.
A planning application will be submitted to Falkirk Council in November 2025 in support of this investment. Full details of the planning application will be posted on the planning portal at Falkirk Council’s website.
Further updates will be posted regarding these works following the outcome of the planning application.
This project is being carried out by Scottish Water’s alliance partner Caledonia Water Alliance.
