Auchtertool Water Main Upgrade
Project Overview
We are investing £1.2 million to upgrade around 3.5 kilometres of water main in Auchtertool, helping to ensure customers continue to enjoy fresh, clear drinking water while reducing the risk of burst pipes.
The first phase of the project involved the upgrade of 2.2 kilometres of water network on the U033 from Camilla Road to the C48 Junction. With three phases planned in total, the remaining 1.3 kilometres will be replaced in phases two and three.
The third and final phase will commence from Monday, 3 November 2025 with traffic management measures in place.
Morrison Construction is delivering the work on our behalf.

Update: Phase Three, November 2025
Our work on the U033 between Camilla Road and the C48 Junction has finished, and the second phase of work on the U034 between the B925 and the B9157 is nearing completion.
During the third and final phase of work, temporary traffic management will be in place on the Main Street in Auchtertool between the entrance to Auchtertool House and Milton Park.
These measures will be in place from Monday, 3 November, for approximately one month.
Emergency and local access will be maintained throughout the duration of work. Please follow all signage in place.
There may be an increase in construction noise throughout the duration of the project. As always, we will do our best to keep this to a minimum.
