Two-way traffic lights are in operation on Bridgend while the existing overflow is upgraded
At this location:
We are updating a storm overflow and associated pipework.
There is a history of localised flooding during extreme weather. The overflow will safely divert excess storm water protecting homes and businesses.
Update June 2025
To continue the work to upgrade a storm overflow and associated pipework, Bridgend (at the bottom of Springwell Place) is reduced to one lane under temporary traffic lights until November.
The monoblocked car parking spaces will remain closed off for the duration to allow access to the working area. Pedestrians are still able to walk through the works but we ask them to follow all signs.
We are doing all that we can to minimise any disruption and would like to thank everyone affected for their patience and understanding while we deliver this important project.
