Scottish Water is investing in the waste water infrastructure in East Lothian with a £5.6M upgrade to the existing East Linton Waste Water Treatment Works (WWTW)

Upgrade Underway
The existing site has been extended to increase capacity by 35%
What We Are Doing
We are constructing an extension to the existing East Linton Waste Water Treatment Works, installing new below ground tanks, new above ground process units, new above ground kiosks and associated pipework.
This will increase capacity at the site by 35% per cent.
A temporary site compound has been set up next to the site while the project is ongoing.
New below ground tanks and above ground process units have been installed
The upgrade includes above ground kiosks and new pipework
Why We Are Doing It
The investment will ensure the provision of an increasingly efficient waste water service to enable East Linton to grow and flourish.
The project will also ensure the site complies with stringent external regulations while using the latest in technology.
